Mission Statement
The mission of the Carbon County Prothonotary’s Office is to provide exemplary service through respect, dedication and commitment to all members of the community. The office will work to continuously improve the operations in the office and provide accurate recording of all civil documents.
Kayla M. Semmel is the Prothonotary of Carbon County. The Prothonotary and her staff are responsible for maintaining the filings and records of civil actions.
Since 1984, the Office of the Prothonotary has been fully computerized. The office uses Tyler Enterprise Justice (Odyssey) as their Case Management System. Cases can be searched by Case or Party Information. Every civil case and judgment filed since January 1, 1984 has been entered into the system.
Civil docket information is available by remote computer access, which can be obtained through Court Administration. To obtain the fee and additional information about remote access, please contact Karen Sweeney in Court Administration at klsweeney@carboncourts.com.
