What is Remote Public Access?

Public Access enables the public to view from their homes or offices, docket information maintained in the filing offices of the Carbon County Court System.

How does one obtain Remote Public Access to Carbon County Court Docketing?

Remote Public Access is available by modem through your computer, provided you have the necessary software to support Remote Public Access.

What software supports Remote Public Access?

The software to support Public Access would have to be a communications type of software such as Anita 7.1.

Once the software is installed, how should I proceed?

Once the software is installed, you will need to change the software settings in order to be able to communicate with the Carbon County Court Computer System. The settings are as follows:
You are now ready to connect to the Court Computer System!

What happens when I am connected with the Court Computer System?

The computer will ask you if you would like to register as a new user. If this is the first time you have ever logged on, answer "Y". If it is not, the computer will ask you for the six digit code that is assigned to you when you first used Public Access. The computer will then prompt you for a password. Type in your password. It is advisable that you write down or memorize your password and six digit code.

However, if you forget your code, you can contact the Court Computer Systems Director at (570) 325-4202, Ext 1. The Director can provide you with your code, but not with your password. You must remember that.

What do I do if I am having trouble connecting?

The first thing that you should do is check that your phone line is connected. You also might want to be sure that all of the software settings are correct and that you are dialing the right number.

What if I have checked everything and I am still having trouble?

If you are still having problems, you should notify the Court Computer Systems Director at (570) 325-4202, Ext 1. There may be some other type of problem. The Director will be glad to assist you.
