Judge Richard W. Webb was elected to a second ten
year term on the Court of Common Pleas commencing January 6, 1992. He became
the 15th President Judge in Carbon County history on Feb 17, 2001.
A lifetime resident of Palmerton, he received his
early education in the Palmerton public school system. After earning a degree
at Pennsylvania State University in 1966, he went on to the University of Pittsburgh
Law School where he was awarded a Juris Doctor (JD) Degree in 1969.
From 1975 to 1991, Webb served as District
Attorney of Carbon County and established a reputation for integrity, industry
and ability. He founded the Carbon County Drug Task Force and received many
awards and citations for his prosecution of drug cases.
The parents of two sons, Judge Webb and his wife reside in Palmerton.
